Detailed Description
Avian Bean is a nonconformist Fashion Designer who aims to validate each individual’s unique expression. Each piece is a statement: gender-defiant, worn to be treasured, with the goal of spreading joy. The colorful, maximalist and high-quality clothing encourages customers to embrace their ‘childlike’ interests.
The sheer fabrics and transparency across the clothing and brand are meant to reveal one’s ‘true identity’ underneath. Existing inside PVC, Resin, or as accessories, these childhood toys and characters are a part of the clothing. These visualize the designer’s transgender experience. The soft fabrics bring comfort, inspired by nostalgia, are reminiscent of blankets and toys.
Fashion does not have to be masculine or feminine, one can embrace their inner child through bold colors, whimsy and joy!

I created 3D Jello-type, and made illustrations from characters literally inside the fabric of his clothing to materialize his inner joy and whimsy!
The Identity
Through 3D Jello-type, and playful and whimsical illustrative characters found within the fabric of his clothing, AvianBean is able to create fashion pieces that are gender-defiant, worn to be treasured, with the goal of spreading joy.
After earning £350 at Southampton Comic-Con, AvianBean earned just over £2,000 at HyperJapan where my new designs were implemented!
